Arsenal squad: Confirmed shirt numbers for 2023/24
A huge season is on the way for Arsenal
Expectations have shifted with a Champions League campaign to navigate
The numbers each player will wear which number in 2023/24
The Gunners led eventual treble winners Manchester City for much of the campaign before being usurped and are now tasked with going again while making an impression on their return to the Champions League.

Failure in Europe would be disappointing given the ambitious and expensive summer Mikel Arteta's side have enjoyed in the transfer market so far. Kai Havertz has arrived, with Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber expected to follow very soon.

Arsenal are very organised with their squad numbers with almost every first team member accounted for on the club website.

Kai Havertz has already been handed his new squad number by Arsenal and almost all of the returning loanees have also been allocated their digits. You may notice some shared numbers, so something will have to give there.

Despite the fact that outlandish numbers are seldom seen in the Premier League, with Rico Lewis' 82 at Manchester City being the highest ever, any number between 1 and 99 is allowed.

The main rule is that it must be unique within the team. Also following tradition, goalkeepers will generally occupy numbers one and 13. Zero is also not allowed.
